Southridge senior Kayla Mundy of Huntingburg, 17, lined up a shot during a local competition of The National Archery in the Schools Program on Saturday at Northeast Dubois Middle School. Jennifer Boeglin of Huntingburg, a coach for the Southridge archery program, said archery competitions like Saturday’s have taken place in Indiana since 2005, but it was only last year that Southridge and Northeast Dubois started programs. On Saturday, archers shot arrows from both 10 and 15 meters away from their targets with various scores given depending on accuracy. The competition featured archers from Jasper, Dubois and Southridge schools.
