Mentors for Youth participant Katie Knox of Jasper, 13, left, and her mentor Mallory Alles of Jasper brushed a miniature horse during an outing to Sandi and Randy Bair's farm in Dubois on Saturday. Mentors for Youth case manager Kaiva Hurt said that she hoped the outing would expose the participants to 4-H and show them how working with animals can build confidence.
